Nature in its most vivid state is Claudia's inspiration to paint. She loves intense, bright colors and is not afraid to break rules in color combinations. Always artistic at a young age, UC Berkeley studied her art work at the early age of five because she showed a special gift. All throughout her school years, Claudia endeavored to try most mediums: oils, acrylics, wood block prints, jewelry, and collages. At San Diego State University, Claudia took classes in intaglio, lithography, life drawing, and even photography with the famous Ansel Adams.
During the mid 70's, Claudia drew detailed botanicals that were featured in the Wildlife Gallery in Mendocino. She also was a founding partner in the "Local Motive," an artists' co-op shop.

Claudia is a landscape designer, which she sees as her art work in 3 D and forever evolutionary. She also owned a small Bed & Breakfast, "Claudia's Gardens," custom built by her husband Jim from a redwood water tank that she designed and decorated. Her home and grounds have been featured on two garden tours and Canadian television. She also has a business in garden art called "Total Design," constructing garden angels and birdhouses.
Through Claudia's work you may look at nature through a new spectrum of colors. She has painted bottles for Winesong, had shows in Burlingame, and at Mendocino's "Art in the Garden."
